学生時代（'88年頃）の作品、VX-4のファントム･ペアです。Vandy 1にはマイクロを惜しげもなく振る舞い、Vandy 76にはひたすらマスキング攻撃。我ながら、この頃が一番充実していた気がするなあ・・・おまけのウサギと「ばいせんすずめ」は、当時ファンだった島本和彦氏のキャラを頂いてます。

The colorful pair of Phantom IIs from VX-4, Vandy 1 & Vandy 76, converted from Hasegawa eggplane F-4Es. Most of markings for Vandy 1 Black Bunny is from Micro-scale Decal for 1/72 scale. Vandy 76 Bicentennial White-headed Eagle was painted by hand and airbrush except of so many white stars.

Vandy 1の下面は、白のスパローがよいアクセントになるのですが、バンダイ・ジャイロプレーンのF-18付属のケッサク・すずめミサイルが２発しか手許になかったので、残り２発は1/144リアル・スケール。TERとロケット弾ポッドは1/72のウェポン・セット。内弦パイロンはハセガワ1/72の旧F-4Eのパーツを前後に切り詰めたもので、タッパはそのままなのがミソです。

4 AIM-7s of Vandy 1 are ... 2 from LS 1/144 weapon set and 2 from BANDAI Gyro-plane F-18 (do you remember it ??). Yes, I have gotten only one kit of it. TERs and LAU rocket pods are from Hasegawa 1/72 weapon set.

"76"は、形状がこんななので、実機のとおりには塗り分けられませんが、この辺の工夫も、また楽しからずや、というところ。但し、ウィンドシールドのフレームを赤にしたのは痛恨のミスでした（実機は白）。

主翼は前縁スラット付の"Soft Wing"を簡易表現。翼端はＪ型などと同型のようです。

ノズルの内部は、サークルの先輩に習った技で、その名も「◯サカ塗り」と申します。

To paint "76", you must consider geometries of blue and red patterns to match the "egg" shape. It is rather a fun. But the red frame of the wind-shield is just a mistake of mine. It should be white.

"76" had leading edge slats on main wings...so called "Soft Wing". However, its wing tips were shaped same as standard Juliet rather than F-4S.

Inside of nozzles are painted yellow and orange. I learned the way from an elder member of a modeling circle I belonged about 20 years ago.
